Orientation is the beginning of your journey at Deakin College.


Australian Campuses

What will happen at Orientation?

Deakin College hosts a series of activities and programs to promote an easy transition to tertiary study.

  • You will receive information about your Deakin College course, orientation kit and student diary
  • You will meet the Deakin College staff, student mentors and new friends
  • You will be introduced to a range of services and facilities available to you as a student

There will also be information sessions on accommodation, employment, safety, health, coverage and computer skills. These sessions are all designed to help you settle into your new environment.

Above all, attending Orientation makes sure that you are enrolled. You will create your timetable, buy textbooks and obtain your Deakin College Student ID Card.

What do I need to bring?

Bring along your Deakin College Offer Letter, passport (international students only) and address details.

What are the dates and where do I go?

Trimester 2 - June Intake 2019: Orientation will run on the week of 24 June 2019.

 

Melbourne Burwood students

  • Monday 24 June - International student orientation (Foundation and MQP only)
  • Tuesday 25 June - International student orientation (diplomas only) and welcome lunch for all international and local students
  • Wednesday 26 June - All international student orientation
  • Thursday 27 June - Free day
  • Friday 28 June - All international and local students

Geelong Waurn Ponds and Waterfront students

  • Monday 24 June - All international students
  • Tuesday 25 June - All international and local students
  • Wednesday 26 June - All international and local students
  • Thursday 27 June - Free day
  • Friday 28 June - Free day
