Orientation is the beginning of your journey at Deakin College.


Australian Campuses

What will happen at Orientation?

Deakin College hosts a series of activities and programs and efficient transition to tertiary study.

  • You will receive information about your Deakin College course, orientation kit and student diary
  • Meet the Deakin College staff, student mentors and new friends
  • Be introduced to a range of services and facilities available to you as a student

There will also be information sessions concerning accommodation, employment, safety, health, coverage and computer skills all designed to help you settle into your new environment.

Most importantly Orientation ensures that you are enrolled - you will create your timetable, purchase textbooks and obtain your Deakin College Student ID Card.

What do I need to bring?

Bring along your Deakin College Offer Letter, passport (international students only) and address details.

What are the dates and where do I go?

Trimester 1 - March Intake 2019: Orientation will run on the week of 25 February 2019.

 

Melbourne Burwood students

  • Monday 25 February - International student orientation (Foundation and MQP only)
  • Tuesday 26 February - International student orientation (diplomas only) and welcome lunch for all international and local students
  • Wednesday 27 February - All international student orientation
  • Thursday 28 February - All international and local students
  • Friday 29 February - All international and local students

Geelong Waurn Ponds and Waterfront students

  • Monday 25 February - All international students
  • Tuesday 26 February - All international and local students
  • Wednesday 27 February - All internationaland local students
  • Thursday 28 February - Free day
  • Friday 29 February - Free day
