When to apply through VTAC
For the March intake only, Australian students studying Year 12 should apply through the Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC). Online VTAC applications open in August for students starting in the following year.
Are you eligible to apply through VTAC?
You can apply through VTAC if you are:
- an Australian citizen
- an Australian permanent resident
- a New Zealand citizen
VTAC Change of Preference
We understand that the Change of Preference period can be a stressful time for both students and parents.

VTAC Course Codes
When applying through VTAC, you will need to enter a VTAC Course Code. Your VTAC course code will reflect your diploma at Deakin College and your destination degree at Deakin University.
