The Deakin College Online Campus is open to domestic students who don’t want to be locked into weekly lecture and tutorial times on campus.
Studying online gives you access to all the academic and support services that are available to Deakin College on-campus students, so you can be fully immersed in the Deakin College experience from your own home or workspace.
As a Deakin College Online student, you’ll have online access to recorded content, classroom notes, readings, activities and assessments, to be accessed at any time.
A 1 to 2-hour live online session is also held each week for every unit, and you are strongly encouraged to attend so that you keep up to date with your unit material, assessments, and due dates.
For most courses, this is an optional class. For Diploma of Business and Diploma of Commerce students, some of the weekly live classes are compulsory, as they include key assessment tasks.
Diploma Programs:
*If you’re an Engineering or Health Sciences student, you will also need to attend on-campus practicals between one and five days per trimester, depending on the Deakin University degree pathway. You can choose whether you attend these at Melbourne Burwood or Geelong Waurn Ponds.
#If you are enrolled as an online student in the Diploma of Commerce, you are required to sit the MAA103 Accounting for Decision Making final examination on campus, under formal supervision during the exam week.
