Homestay Placement Fee - A$250* (2016)

Overseas Student Health Cover - International students are required to take out Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for the duration of their stay in Australia. The cost will be calculated based on the duration of their student visa. Deakin College has appointed Bupa Overseas Student Health Cover to provide this cover. For information visit Bupa.

Living Costs

The cost of living depends on the students individual lifestyle. It is estimated that a single International student requires A$14 000 - A$20 000 per year to live while studying in Australia.

The cost would normally cover:

  • Text books

It does not cover airfares or additional costs associated with an expensive lifestyle.

Homestay Placement Fee - A$250* (2016)

Deakin College is a recognised Higher Education Provider (HEP) and allows eligible students to access the FEE-HELP loan scheme. This scheme allows students to borrow all or part of their tuition fees. For more information go to FEE-HELP.

Pre-university Level
Fees at the offshore campus in Jakarta are set at a significantly lower rate than onshore Australian campuses. Fees are expressed in Indonesian Rupiah IDR. Please contact dcjkt-admissions@deakin.edu.au for updated tuition fee information.

On top of the course fees, there is also a one-time Facilites and Amenities fee of $A400, payable in Indonesian Rupiah IDR, for new students. The fee offsets some of the costs associated with providing the following:

  • Unlimited Internet access on all PCs
  • Unlimited Internet wifi
  • Sport Activities: Basketball, futsal, etc.
  • Academic Workshops tutor
  • Academic Workshops F&B
  • Student Committee Meetings F&B
  • Student internal trimester activities/events, e.g. Ping-Pong tournament, Christmas lunch
  • Student external activities/events, e.g. movies, paintball, etc.
  • Orientation Expenses, e.g. F&B
  • Student Lounge: rental, service, charge, electricity
