Mature Age Students

Deakin College is a pathway provider for students seeking further education, and the opportunity to progress into Deakin University.

Whether you’ve had a few years off or you’re seeking further qualifications for your career, mature-aged applicants may be admitted to the diploma courses without meeting the formal academic qualifications if they have relevant work experience and/or other acceptable qualifications.

If you’ve had the chance to complete some higher education or vocational training since leaving school, or you have some relevant work experience, you may be granted some exemptions towards a Deakin College course. For more information, visit our Recognition of Prior Learning (https://www.deakincollege.edu.au/how-apply/exemptions-recognition-prior-learning-rpl/) page.

Deakin College offers smaller class sizes, more personalised attention from lecturers, state-of-the-art facilities, courses based on Deakin University curriculum, and the option to fast-track your university pathway into Deakin University – with 40 years of distance and online teaching excellence and 78,000+ high achieving online graduates.
