How to apply - Australian Students

Applying through VTAC

For the March intake only, Australian students should apply through the Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC). Online VTAC applications open in August for students starting in the following year. You can apply through VTAC if you are:

  • an Australian citizen
  • an Australian permanent resident
  • a New Zealand citizen
  • a temporary resident currently studying an Australian Year 12* or International Baccalaureate in Australia or New Zealand.

*For example: VCE, VCAL, HSC, NTCE, QLD Senior Certificate, SACE, TCE, WACE. Contact VTAC directly for more information about the application process. After the VTAC process is complete, students can apply directly to Deakin College.

Applying directly to Deakin College

March Intake

As an Australian student, you can apply directly to Deakin College in the following circumstances:

  • you are not currently studying a standard Australian Year 12 curriculum and you are not intending to apply to more than one institution or for more than one course at Deakin College; or
  • the VTAC rounds have closed for the March intake.

Applicants who are intending to apply to more than one institution or more than one course at Deakin College must apply through VTAC.

June and October Intakes
